When a website attracts visits but no enquiries, the cause may be unsuitable traffic, an unclear offer or a broken contact process. More advertising is not automatically the next step. First establish whether the right visitor understands the service and can contact your team.
Separate visitors by intent
Someone reading a general educational article and someone comparing service prices are at different decision stages. Review landing pages, acquisition sources and devices. High traffic to an unrelated topic does not imply a large pool of potential customers.
Make the offer understandable
The page should explain who the service is for, what problem it solves and what happens after an enquiry. If pricing is bespoke, explain the factors and information needed for an estimate. General claims about innovation cannot replace scope and relevant examples.
- Does the page match the advertisement’s promise?
- Is there a relevant project or explanation of the process?
- Is the information required for an enquiry clear?
- Is the main form visible and functional?
- Does the team receive and respond to the message?
Distinguish tracking from actual enquiries
A button click is not necessarily a submitted form. A recorded event does not prove email delivery. Compare analytics with received enquiries, excluding spam and tests. Telephone link clicks indicate an intention to call, not a completed conversation.
Test a specific improvement
For example: visitors do not understand pricing, so the page gains a short scope explanation and quotation checklist. Review the result under comparable traffic conditions. With limited traffic, task observation and customer conversations can be more useful than declaring an A/B winner from insufficient data.
What should we provide for a review?
Send important page addresses, acquisition channels, your definition of a qualified enquiry and examples of the problem. Include the mobile journey checks. The objective is a concrete correction plan, not an unsupported percentage-growth promise.
